Catalog description

This course applies evidence-based principles to a clinical problem identified by the DNP project site and faculty advisor. Emphasis is on improving healthcare outcomes through problem identification and systematic literature search strategies. Learners begin to establish evidence-based practice as the cornerstone of critical thinking and decision-making. This course is the first step in developing the practice change project and is aligned to the IOWA Model. Students will complete 60 residency hours. Lecture Hours: 2 Other Hours: 1 Contact Hours: 3 Repeatability: May not be repeated for credit.
