Catalog description
This course will cover physiologic principles and processes that play a central role in health, illness, and pharmacology while exploring the latest research developments in these areas. It is designed to provide the student with in-depth understanding of normal function and alterations that contribute to acute and chronic illness. The role of genetics and teh environment on health and illness will also be explored. Concepts will be applied to pharmacological principles including pharmacodynamics, pharmacokinetics, and pharmacogenomics. Lecture Hours: 2 Repeatability: May not be repeated for credit.
