Catalog description
The course introduces the basic principles of clinical pharmacology and nutrition as therapeutic interventions in the healthcare arena. Application of concepts across the lifespan will be incorporated throughout the course. The student will apply these concepts to the pharmacological and nutritional management of compromises of the various body systems. This strong conceptual base will prepare students to administer and monitor the use of commonly used medications and alternative medicinal supplements (herbal and nutrition) safely and effectively. Prerequisite(s): NURS 6100 >= C Lecture Hours: 4 Repeatability: May not be repeated for credit.
