Catalog description

Conducting and Methods is a study of the skills necessary for secondary choral teaching. Among the areas to be examined are score preparation, gestural skills, artistic judgment, teaching problems and strategies (e.g., learning theories, classroom management, discipline, etc.), and rehearsal methodology. Further matters such as cultural, historical and linguistic contexts, teaching philosophy and administrative tasks will be considered.
