Catalog description

A functional course for the music educator in the techniques involved in playing and teaching violin, viola, cello, bass, guitar, and the instruction of string players of all levels within mixed ensembles. Emphasis on the development of fundamental skills and teaching techniques through hands-on experience with each of the string instruments. May be taken for graduate credit; additional work will be required. Prerequisite(s): MUSI 1102 >= C and MUSI 1212 >= C Lecture Hours: 1 Repeatability: May not be repeated for credit.
