Catalog description

This course provides a hands-on exploration of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies and their application in business settings. Students will develop both conceptual understanding and practical skills related to core AI capabilities, including machine learning, generative AI, large language models, and prompt engineering. Emphasis is placed on how organizations leverage AI to enhance productivity, innovation, and decision-making across functional areas such as marketing, operations, finance, and strategy. Through applied exercises, case discussions, and projects, students will engage in hands-on AI experimentation/prototyping using contemporary AI tools to solve real-world business problems, automate workflows, and generate actionable insights. The course also examines managerial, ethical, and governance considerations associated with AI, including issues of bias, privacy, and responsible implementation, preparing students to evaluate and design effective AI-enabled business solutions.
