Catalog description
This course is designed to: 1) provide an understanding of the evolution of the US healthcare system; and 2) help students identify the elements of the individual manager’s role in the inevitable and continuing process of organizational change in health care. Students will leave the course with an appreciation of the healthcare environment as a rapidly changing arena. Pressures on health care managers will increase to deliver quality care at lower cost. Healthcare organizations will continue to merge, affiliate, and pursue other perceived organizational advantages. Prerequisite(s): MGMT 2106 >= C Lecture Hours: 3 Repeatability: May not be repeated for credit.
