Catalog description

This course emphasizes approaches to teaching science content that reflect understanding of the distinct characteristics of middle school students, the importance of inquiry and discovery in the process of coming to understand science content, and the framework provided by national and state science standards. A field experience component is required in a local school setting. Lecture Hours: 2 Lab Hours: 2 Repeatability: May not be repeated for credit.
