Integrated Reading to Learn

Catalog description
Students will develop strategies to effectively engage Middle Grade students in reading across content areas. Students will develop approaches which emphasize reading as a means to learn. Students will also develop strategies to enable students to deal with reading deficiencies and other challenges students may face as readers in the Middle Grades. A field experience component is required in a local school setting. Lecture Hours: 2 Lab Hours: 2 Repeatability: May not be repeated for credit.
