Catalog description

This course introduces techniques of solving first-order and second-order partial differential equations, including the heat equation, wave equation and Laplace’s equation. Solution methods include characteristics, separation of variables, Green’s functions, and Fourier transforms. Prerequisite(s): MATH 2013 >= C and MATH 3020 >= C Lecture Hours: 3 Repeatability: May not be repeated for credit.
