Catalog description
A study of the fundamental concepts of human physiology and exercise physiology as they apply to programs of physical conditioning, training, and physical fitness. Theories, current research, and laboratory techniques for assessing human physiological responses to exercise, physical training, health-related physical fitness, and sport performance will be studied. This class is designed as a preparation for the Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) exam. Prerequisite(s): BIOL 2251 >= C and BIOL 2252 >= C and ( KNHS 3319 >= C or KNHS 3220 >= C) Lecture Hours: 3 Repeatability: May not be repeated for credit.
