Catalog description

This course provides an introduction to contextual factors that influence teaching and learning. The focus of this course is on the exploration of a variety of contextual factors and how they impact and influence instructional methods and designs. By examining a variety of contextual factors, students will identify a range of principles, perspectives, and tools that will be useful in understanding learning and teaching in a variety of contexts. Some contextual factors that will be addressed include, but are not limited to: socioeconomic, environmental, and cultural influences. Lecture Hours: 1 Repeatability: May not be repeated for credit.
