Catalog description

This course will look at the design, purpose, and use of castles; town fortifications, including walls; and elements of conflict, such as diplomacy, crusades, and the role of religion, technology, and tactics. The course also examines connections between towns and castles and the people who worked in and on castles. Lecture Hours: 3 Repeatability: May not be repeated for credit.
