This course introduces the social, intellectual, and cultural history of western health and medicine from the eighteenth century to the present. The course will cover how health, medicine, and disease are framed within social, cultural, and institutional values, with an emphasis on the rise and complexities of scientific medicine. Lecture Hours: 3 Repeatability: May not be repeated for credit.
