A survey of Canada’s history from the arrival of indigenous peoples through the last 20th century. Topics include: indigenous civilizations, French and British colonialism, the influence of the United States, confederation and constitutional repatriation, Canada’s changing role in world affairs, and the struggle to define Canadian identity. Lecture Hours: 3 Repeatability: May not be repeated for credit.
