Catalog description

An examination of multilevel governance in the European Union and the United States, comparing American federalism to the EU’s less centralized, more confederal system. The origins and development of each system are examined, as are the complex relationships between the different levels of government in each. The course also asks whether and how each system is evolving - towards greater centralization, or more decentralization? Lecture Hours: 3 Repeatability: May not be repeated for credit.
