Catalog description

Advanced study in the concepts, strategies, and practices essential for writing procedures, proposals, manuals, reports, process descriptions and multiple forms of business correspondence. Students will communicate complex subject matter to specific audiences, lay and technical, in print and digital formats. Attention will be given to effective use of format, layout, headings, tables of contents, appendices and supporting graphics. Documents will undergo a thorough revision process that emphasizes vocabulary, syntax and content. Graduate students will serve as project leaders. Prerequisite(s): Admission to the graduate program and permission of the instructor. Lecture Hours: 3 Repeatability: May not be repeated for credit.
