Catalog description

A course on research methods in writing studies culminating in a major research project. Research projects will be grounded in major theories of writing, including perspectives offered by linguistics, psychology, communications, rhetoric and literary theory. Presentation and publication opportunities will be explored. Graduate students will design and conduct an original primary research project. Prerequisite(s): Admission to the graduate program and permission of the instructor. Lecture Hours: 3 Repeatability: May not be repeated for credit.
