Methods and materials for listening, speaking, reading, writing, and cultural activities appropriate for teaching English to speakers of other languages. Advanced instruction in first and second language acquisition theories, a review of English language teaching methods, testing procedures, and teacher preparation and evaluation. A field experience of 25 clock hours is a required component of the course. ENGL 4802/ FREN 4802 / SPAN 4802 are equivalent courses; a student may only receive credit for one. Lecture Hours: 2 Lab Hours: 1 Repeatability: May not be repeated for credit.
