Catalog description

Methods and materials for listening, speaking, reading, writing, and cultural activities appropriate for teaching English to speakers of other languages. Introduction to first and second language acquisition theories, a review of English language teaching methods, testing procedures, and teacher preparation and evaluation. A field experience of 25 clock hours is a required component of the course. ENGL 4801/ FREN 4801 / SPAN 4801 are equivalent courses; a student may only receive credit for one. Lecture Hours: 2 Lab Hours: 1 Repeatability: May not be repeated for credit.
