A study of how speakers have dynamically adapted English throughout its history, beginning with its proto-Indo-European roots and concluding with varieties of English currently spoken throughout the world. Prerequisite(s): ( ENGL 1101 >= C or ENGL 1101H >= C) and ( ENGL 1102 >= C or ENGL 1102H >= C) Lecture Hours: 3 Repeatability: May not be repeated for credit.
