Catalog description

An introduction to literary editing and publishing. Students will work on an editorial team that produces the digital and print editions of Sand Hills , Augusta University’s literary magazine. Students will study, explore, and practice the many editorial roles within a literary publication, including editing, design and layout, advertising and marketing, circulation, and basic web design. This class prepares students for a career in editing and publishing. Prerequisite(s): ( ENGL 1101 >= C or ENGL 1101H >= C) and ( ENGL 1102 >= C or ENGL 1102H >= C) and ( ENGL 2110 >= C) Lecture Hours: 3 Repeatability: May be repeated for credit up to two times.
