Advanced Poetry Workshop

Catalog description

An intensive practicum in the writing of poetry, with an emphasis on free verse. Students will write and revise their own poems, collaborate in workshops of evaluation and criticism, and read extensively in the canon of contemporary poetry. This course prepares students for a dedicated practice in sharpening and sharing their writing and reading and evaluating the works of others. Prerequisite(s): ( ENGL 1101 >= C or ENGL 1101H >= C) and ( ENGL 1102 >= C or ENGL 1102H >= C) and ENGL 2110 >= C Lecture Hours: 3 Repeatability: May not be repeated for credit.
