Writing for the Theatre

Catalog description

A workshop in the writing of one-act and full-length plays. Topics include dramatic theory, plot structure, character, dialogue, naturalism, symbolism, theme, production problems, and manuscript format. Students will write a one-act play or a short screenplay. Prerequisite(s): ( ENGL 1101 >= C or ENGL 1101H >= C) and ( ENGL 1102 >= C or ENGL 1102H >= C) Lecture Hours: 3 Repeatability: May not be repeated for credit.
