Honors College Composition II

Catalog description

Literature-based, Composition II develops writing skills beyond the levels of proficiency required in ENGL 1101 . Interpretation and evaluation are emphasized, and more advanced research methods are incorporated. The course includes instruction in composition of a research paper. Students who complete ENGL 1101 must enroll in ENGL 1102 no later than the first semester they enroll following completion of ENGL 1101 . Students must continue to register for ENGL 1102 each successive semester until they have completed the course with a grade of C or better. Both ENGL 1101 and ENGL 1102 should be completed within the first 30 hours of a student’s undergraduate degree program.
