Advanced Clinical Literature Seminar / Journal Club

Catalog description

The purpose of Journal Club and Advanced Clinical Literature Seminar is to increase the resident’s ability to develop a scientific rationale for their clinical diagnosis and treatment and to be discriminative when reading the dental and medical literature. This activity will also enable the resident to gain experience with the different databases that are available at the campus library. Each resident will be required to survey all of the articles in assigned journals on a weekly basis and, in addition, pertinent articles on selected topics will be reviewed. Lecture Hours: 10 Contact Hours: 10 Repeatability: May be repeated for credit up to two times.
