Best Practices in Science Education for Middle/Secondary Teachers

Catalog description
This course is designed for middle/secondary teachers. Those in this course will study the application of current research in science and design lessons in order to apply the research to their classroom. Included in this course will be authentic assessment practices such as hands-on practicums and research projects appropriate to K-12 classrooms. Also included will be action research techniques and appropriate dissemination of the results. A 25-hour field experience in P-12 is required for this course. Lecture Hours: 2 Lab Hours: 2 Contact Hours: 3 Repeatability: May not be repeated for credit.
