Catalog description

This course is designed to introduce MAT teacher candidates to educational research and learning theory relevant to adolescents. Teacher candidates will study the characteristics of secondary school learners and the principles of educational psychology that inform our understanding of these learners. This course will examine the implications of learner characteristics for curriculum, instruction, assessment, and management. A 25-hour field experience in a secondary school setting is required for successful completion of this course. Lecture Hours: 2 Lab Hours: 2 Repeatability: May not be repeated for credit.
