Catalog description
This course is specifically designed to acquaint the third year student dentist with characteristic properties of polymers, ceramics and metals as they relate to the science of Materials Engineering. It is the specific goal of this course to relate these material concepts to their clinical applications, providing the student with the ability to discern differences between materials failure and technique problems, as well as to provide a basis for rational selection of restorative dental materials. Lecture Hours: 2 Lab Hours: 1 Repeatability: May not be repeated for credit.
