This course is intended to provide an introduction to the field of Data Science. Students will develop skills in appropriate technology and basic statistical methods by completing hands-on projects focused on real-world data and addressing the social consequences of data analysis and application. Prerequisite(s): MATH 1001 >= D or MATH 1111 >= D or MATH 1113 >= D or MATH 2011 >= D or MATH 2011H >= D Core IMPACTS Requirement(s) Satisfied: Technology, Mathematics, and Sciences (STEM) Lecture Hours: 3 Repeatability: May not be repeated for credit.
