Augusta University · UGRD · Fall 2026
Catalog description
Examines the core concepts, techniques and algorithms in Linear Optimization, also called Linear Programming (LP). Linear Programming is so useful in solving real-world optimization problems that it should be in the toolbox of each Programmer, Software Engineer, Data Scientist and Data Analyst. Its broad applications span from two-player zero-sum strategic games, such as Matching Pennies, finding optimal flows in transportation networks, scheduling industrial production processes, machine learning, to auction design in computational economics. Repeatability: May not be repeated for credit. Grade Mode: Normal (A, B, C, D, F) Schedule Type (Primary): Lecture Click here for the Schedule of Classes.
