Catalog description
A comprehensive study of computer systems and programming, with concepts from operating systems and architectures. Low level programming concepts, including machine and assembly language, pointers, bit operations, addressing techniques. Higher level concepts including process management, scheduling, synchronization, deadlock, memory management, virtual memory, file systems, I/O, and protection. Prerequisite(s): CSCI 5001 >= C and CSCI 5003 >= C Repeatability: May not be repeated for credit.
