A rigorous study of the principles of computer programming with emphasis on problem solving methods which result in correct, well-structured programs. Other topics: an introduction to data representation, data types and control structures, functions, and structured data types. STEM GPA eligible course. Prerequisite(s): MATH 1001 >= C or MATH 1111 >= C or MATH 1113 >= C MATH 1220 >= C or MATH 2011 >= C Lecture Hours: 3 Lab Hours: 2 Contact Hours: 5 Repeatability: May not be repeated for credit.
