Juvenile Delinquency and Justice

Catalog description

This course uses an integrated approach to examine how theories of delinquency causation influence public policy responses. The course focuses on juvenile justice as a legal system, examines motives for the development of the juvenile court system, and analyzes the organization and processes of the contemporary juvenile court and correctional system. Prerequisite(s): Permission of the MPA Director. Lecture Hours: 3 Repeatability: May not be repeated for credit.
