Advanced Mental Health Practices for School Counselors

Catalog description

This advanced course prepares future school counselors to understand how childhood experiences and brain development influence student growth and adjustment. Emphasis is placed on the interaction of psychological, social, and emotional factors that shape overall well-being and learning. Students will explore theory, research, and applied practice to better recognize how life experiences affect development. Through case studies and practical strategies, participants will strengthen their ability to support students as they navigate challenges and build skills for success.
