Elementary Chinese I

Catalog description

This course is an elementary Mandarin Chinese course designed for students with no prior knowledge of Chinese. It provides a foundation for all four language skills, (i.e., listening, speaking, reading, and writing). Not open to native speakers. Heritage speakers and students who had Chinese in high school should take the placement exam. Students must earn a C or better in order to take CHNS 1002 .
