Catalog description

Immunology is designed to provide students with a fundamental understanding of human immune responses. Topics covered include the cells and tissues of the innate and acquired immune systems, recognition of antigen by B & T lymphocytes, development of mature lymphocyte receptors & antibody repertoires, lymphocyte activation and specificity, cell-mediated and humoral immune responses and the immune system in health and disease. Prerequisite(s): BIOL 3200 >= C or BIOL 3400 >= C Lecture Hours: 3 Repeatability: May not be repeated for credit.
