Catalog description
This course covers the fundamentals of listening, speaking, reading, and writing Modern Standard Arabic in a proficiency-based classroom and introduces students to Arabic cultures. Designed for students who have never studied Written Arabic. Not open to native speakers. Heritage speakers and students who had Arabic in school should contact the Department of English and World Languages for an evaluation to determine which Arabic course best suits their current proficiency. Students must earn a C or better in order to take ARAB 1002 .
