Physical Anthropology

Catalog description

This course will provide students with a background in human evolution from the biological and cultural standpoints by tracing behavior patterns we consider uniquely human back to non-human primates and our prehuman ancestors. The course will also consider how evolution still operates in modern human populations. Topics will include primatology, the human family tree, human variation and adaptation, and applied methods. Lecture Hours: 3 Repeatability: May not be repeated for credit.
