Catalog description

This course provides students with hands-on teaching experience through active participation in the gross anatomy laboratory for the College of Allied Health Sciences. Under the mentorship of the anatomy faculty, students will prepare for and assist in laboratory dissections, exam practical preparation, and lecture in a large-group, graduate-level setting. As part of their experience, students will develop and deliver an instructional lecture, receive feedback from faculty, and explore evidence-based teaching strategies that support diverse learning needs. By the end of the course, students will have gained practical teaching experience, enhanced their communication and presentation skills, and developed a critical awareness of their teaching style and teaching effectiveness in gross anatomy.
