Foundations in Anatomy Teaching and Learning

Catalog description

Foundational Teaching and Learning in Anatomy is a graduate level course designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary to effectively begin to teach anatomical sciences at the collegiate and health professional level. This course covers key aspects of teaching and learning, including learning theories and pedagogies, instructional methods across various teaching formats, and principles of curriculum development and design. Students will develop course syllabi, instructional plans as well as practice effective presentation and facilitation skills. By the end of the course, students will have basic and practical skills to design, implement, and evaluate anatomy instruction that fosters deep understanding and learner success. Prerequisite(s): CAHS 7400 Repeatability: May not be repeated for credit.
