Essentials of Education

Catalog description

Essentials of Education is designed for students interested in teaching and assisting in summer courses or those interested in academic medicine. Students will learn from workshop style practical activities and interactions with each other. Topics include how to organize handouts and lectures, recognize and respond to various learning styles, produce coherent lectures for presentation, how to give feedback, and prepare quality exam questions. Lecture Hours: 1 Lab Hours: 1 Repeatability: May not be repeated for credit.
