READ 3313, Language and Literacy III (3). Pr., admission to Professional Education, READ 3303, READ 3313. This course is designed to build on concepts introduced in READ 3303 and 3313. An emphasis is placed on teaching writing and the use of children’s literature as the foundation of the language arts program for P-6 students. Strategies for the integration of all language arts skills—reading, writing, speaking, listening, viewing, and visually representing—are covered. Field experience required.
