Catalog description
The course introduces students with factors associated with violence and aggression in school settings. The course is grounded in psychological and developmental science and covers the incidence and predictors of school violence, including bullying, aggression, harassment, and mass shootings. Students will be introduced to the scientific methods through which school violence is assessed and researched. The impact of social and cultural variables, as well as prevention efforts, will be discussed.
