Catalog description

An examination of the nature of heredity and variation in the development and expression of psychological and behavioral traits. The different models utilized in the scientific study of heredity and psychological variation will be explored. The basic principles of behavioral genetics will guide an exploration of the development of normal and abnormal psychology. The course will conclude with an examination of the ethical and societal implications of emerging genetic technologies.
