Examines the impact of public policy and programs on the distribution of opportunity, income, and wealth in the United States with special emphasis on racial and ethnic disparities and their intersections with gender, and the impact of race and ethnicity on public opinion and policymaking; uses case studies to investigate different policy areas including labor markets, education, health, housing, elections, immigration, and criminal justice.
