Catalog description

This course introduces concepts of leadership and management and prepares students for the role of the professional nurse in complex and diverse settings. Emphasis is on critical thinking, team building, communication, priority setting, delegation, collaborative decision-making, legal and ethical considerations, regulatory standards, personal accountability, resilience, well-being, and advocacy. Principles of time management, leadership styles, and professional development will be discussed.
