This course focuses on the continued development of the nurse as a leader by emphasizing the significance of the professional nurse's ability to advocate for and implement policies that promote safe, equitable, quality care in the healthcare setting. The implications of health policy, cultural values, legal regulations, and ethical practice on care delivery and equity are examined while immersed in a 45 hour clinical experience.
