Catalog description

The purpose of this course is the synthesis and assimilation of skills and clinical reasoning drawn from all previous nursing courses and is intended to prepare students to function independently in the management and provision of nursing care to an assigned cohort of patients. The focus of the course is on the professional roles of caregiver, educator, consumer research, advocate, counselor, leader, and inter-and intra- professional team member. The course emphasizes quality and safety in the provision of nursing care.
