This theory course is designed to provide the registered nurse with a foundation of conceptual knowledge and competencies for the continued development of, and transition to, the professional nurse role. This course will examine conceptual frameworks, philosophies, professional development, ethical practice, current trends in healthcare, and quality and safety in nursing.
